Description

These are the books that our adult kids say impacted them as children, the books that changed their characters. We decided to turn them into audiobooks you can enjoy in the van or at home. Some are funny, some are exciting, all are the kind of books you think about years later; books you want to read and reread and share with your children. All are appropriate for the entire family.

The Character-Building Audiobook Library

The Five Little Peppers series, Five Little Peppers and Five Little Peppers Midway, are fun family adventures that teach that people are always more important than things, whether you have a few things or a whole lot of them.

Captains Courageous is a story of adventure on the high seas when the hero falls overboard from an ocean liner, is rescued by a fishing boat and learns the diligence and character it takes to be a man.

A Cry From Egypt Radio Theatre makes ancient Egypt and Israel come alive with fifty actors, an original score, and historical accuracy. See the Exodus through the eyes of an ordinary family surprised by what’s happening.

The Sky Pilot takes us to the Wild West where we meet a quiet and courageous man determined to be a pastor to the rough and hardbitten men on the Canadian frontier.

The Pollyanna books, Pollyanna and Pollyanna Grows Up are hilarious tales that encourage us to stop whining and find a reason to rejoice. Every member of our family, from young children to teens and adults, male and female, loved these books.

In Men of Iron, we see the value of honor and reputation through the life of a young knight of Medieval times.

The Witness addresses the two big questions our kids will face: who to serve and who to marry in a modern retelling of an ancient story, if you can call the 1920s modern!

Theodore Roosevelt wrote Hero Tales from American History to teach virtue and character through the stories of American history. We added sound effects, because history is better with cannon fire and screaming mobs.

My boys are thoroughly enjoying this wonderful audio book set – we gave it to them for Christmas. They love Melanie’s voice, and say she sounds like a sweet, caring “mama.” My youngest says he’d like to give her a hug. ❤
Thank you for producing such a treasure!
