Description
Resins have been used for thousands of years. Plants produce resin as a protective covering for injuries and people have used those resins as medicines, incense, perfumes, art, and more. Perhaps you’ve heard of frankincense and myrrh? They are both resins! Resins are used in aerospace coatings, construction, flooring, adhesives, paints and coatings, and electronics. Resin is still used in art, though. Modern artists use resins in sculptures, combined with wood and other natural materials, and in two-dimensional art, as well. Try your own hand at it!
