What is “Ranger Mike”? The Ranger Mike DVDs are video adventures for kids in the 6-12 years old range. Our friend, Mike Snavely, produced them in response to parents who asked if there was anything available anywhere that would counter TV programs with subtle and not-so-subtle ideas that run counter to the Bible’s teachings. Christian parents wanted Bible-based programs their kids would love, like those with animals and things related to the outdoors.
Mike Snavely not only grew up in South Africa and had many experiences with nature, but he also worked for the South African National Parks Service in Kruger National Park. This earned him the nickname, “Ranger Mike”.
These video episodes are each designed to be:

The Mystery at Goblin Pass
“The Mystery at Goblin Pass” is the longest Ranger Mike video to date, being 40 minutes long.
In this video, Ranger Mike has gone to “Goblin Pass” to try to solve a mystery about some supposed “monster” that lives there. Upon arrival, though, he falls down a cliff and hits his head. This causes him to start seeing things that aren’t really there. This leads to several humorous events, as well as a lesson about things that can affect a person’s mind, and change their thinking. But, in attempting to solve the original mystery, Ranger Mike also has to explain why there are strange geological features found here — goblins!
As always, Splat has a part! Also, there is a unique “Backyard Bugs” and “Creature Feature” segment, as well as “Level Three!”
