Every Christmas as we lay out all the treats on our dining room table, eventually we start talking about Hal’s dad. He built the table out of the beams of the school Hal attended as a child. That table is precious to us!
We’d love for our kids to learn how to do the same kind of thing. Furniture is not just useful, it is lasting!
We recently found a kit that is a great start! It has everything you need to build a wooden footstool with a woven flat reed seat. Building furniture and weaving seats are real crafts that our guys can use the rest of their lives!
- Contains one unassembled frame, and flat reed for the seat, wood glue for fastening, tacks, gloves, and more, plus instructions.
- Approximate stool size: 9″ x 12″ x 8.5″
- Stool color is natural. Stain of your choice may be added.
- Made in USA
Recommended for ages 13 and up due to the complexity of the task.
