A Different Lewis & Clark
Posted by Hal in Contests

Catherine Jaime is a veteran homeschooler and writer, and she sent us a copy of an interesting little history for review.  In York Proceeded On, you re-live the story of the Lewis and Clark expedition as seen through the eyes of York, the slave of William Clark.  Too often the history of slaves is left untold because records are lacking, literacy was an issue, and a host of other historical reasons.  Catherine’s account reminds us of the real lives they lived and the real contributions many of them made — even personal heroism, as in the case of the intrepid York!
