We had one little guy who had a REALLY hard time with handwriting, coloring, etc. It got so bad we took him to an OT who gave us a great suggestion. Before asking a boy to do fine motor stuff like that, have him use the gross motor skills for that body part. Before having this boy write, we'd play "wheelbarrow" with him (his hands on the floor while someone held his feet up in the air like wheelbarrow handles, allowing him to walk on his hand) or do chin-ups, or lie tummy-down on a skateboard and pull himself around by the arms.<br><br>It wasn't an overnight miracle fix, but it surely made a difference!!<br><br>Blessings,<br>Kate Great post (as usual!!) Hmm... Yeah, I think that's where I first got acquainted with y'all. I bought a few of the books - one for myself of course, and a couple to give away. I've started reading it and love it!
